Company settings in DiverDash are the foundation of your organization's presence in the system. This guide walks you through configuring your business information, which helps with invoicing, client management, and system organization.

Before You Start
Prerequisites:
You must have Admin or Super Admin role to manage company settings
Your organization should already be created in DiverDash
Have your business documents ready (tax ID, legal name, etc.)
Required Information:
Company name (display name for the system)
Business contact information
Optional but Recommended:
Legal business name (for formal documents)
Complete business address
Tax identification numbers
Business phone and website
Understanding Company Settings
Company information serves multiple purposes in DiverDash:
Multi-Tenant Isolation: Your company data is completely separate from other organizations
Invoicing and Billing: Business details appear on client invoices and financial documents
User Organization: All users and staff belong to your specific company
Regulatory Compliance: Tax IDs and legal names support proper business reporting

Step-by-Step Company Setup
Step 1: Basic Company Information
Navigate to Settings → Company in the main menu
Click on Company Information tab
Fill in the required fields:
Company Name (Required)
Enter your business name as you want it displayed throughout DiverDash
This appears on invoices, reports, and throughout the system
Example: "Pacific Diving Adventures"
Legal Name (Optional)
Enter the official registered business name if different from display name
Used for formal documents and legal compliance
Example: "Pacific Diving Adventures LLC"
Step 2: Contact Information
Business Address
Address Line 1: Street address or PO Box
Address Line 2: Suite, unit, or additional address details (optional)
City: Business city location
State/Province: State, province, or region
Postal Code: ZIP code or postal code
Country: Select from dropdown list
Communication Details
Phone: Primary business phone number (format: +1-555-123-4567)
Email: Primary business email address
Website: Company website URL (include https://)
Invoice Email: Separate email for invoicing if different from main email
Step 3: Tax and Financial Information
Tax Identification
Tax ID: Federal tax identification number (EIN, SSN, etc.)
Tax Number: Additional tax registration numbers as needed
Sales Tax Code: State or local sales tax identification
Sales Tax Rate: Default sales tax percentage for transactions
Step 4: System Settings
Currency and Localization
Currency: Primary currency for financial transactions
Timezone: Business timezone for scheduling and timestamps
Step 5: Save and Verify
Review all entered information for accuracy
Click Save Company Information
Verify that changes are reflected throughout the system
Test that invoicing displays correct business information
