Prerequisites

  • You must have a DiverDash account with rental management permissions.

  • Your company profile must be set up under Settings > Company.

Overview

The Rentals module handles everything related to renting equipment to your clients. You maintain a catalog of rental items -- BCDs, regulators, wetsuits, masks, fins, and more -- and create bookings that track which client has which equipment, for how long, and at what rate.

DiverDash links rental bookings to your billing and finance systems. Deposits, rental charges, and deposit returns all flow through to client bills and your accounting records.

The Rentals section includes the following pages:

What You Can Do

  • Maintain an equipment catalog with types, serial numbers, conditions, and rental rates.

  • Track equipment status as available, rented, or in maintenance.

  • Create rental bookings linked to clients with defined rental periods.

  • Process deposits at check-out and return them (or deduct for damage) at check-in.

  • Handle walk-in customers who are not registered clients.

  • Integrate with billing so rental charges appear on client bills and in your financial reports.

Tips

  • Keep equipment conditions up to date. Record maintenance dates and notes after every service.

  • Use serial numbers for high-value items like regulators and BCDs to track individual units.

  • Collect deposits for all rentals. This protects your business against damage or loss.

  • Review the equipment catalog regularly. Mark damaged items as maintenance so they are not available for new bookings.
